Does anyone know for sure if the King Kutter implements will fit on a BX23 three point without any modifications.
I am considering a rear blade, either the 5'RB or 5' RBOT, and possibly a 5 rotary cutter L60-40P.

I don't know about the mowers, but I was so unimpressed with the quality and poor rigging of the 6 foot RBOT I looked at that I put my money back in my pocket and drove 60 miles back home empty handed.
If you stick with lift pins that are about 24 inches apart and a height of 14 inches or less to the top link pin, it should work on your BX. ....

KingKutter makes a line of impleements specifically for the sub-compacts called the XB-Line. The last time I looked, they were not on the website, but TSC carries the XB line. You may have to order them, they don't keep a lot of them in stock.
The XB implements have the Cat-0 spacing with Cat-1 pins, but more importantly, they have shorter moldboard heights. If get the standard line of rear implements, you will find that you don't have enough lift in the three point to accomodate the 17" height of the moldboard. The moldboards on the XB Line are 12", which is much more comfortable for the sub-compacts. The Middle Buster and Sub-Soiler are shorter, and the mower deck linkages are built to accomodate the sub-compacts.
I learned this the hard way with a sub-compact I used to own. The 3-point wouldn't lift the standard equipment off the ground enough to be usefull. ....

A bx23 couldn't even turn a 5' rotory cutter. Not enough power to turn it. Plus if it could, anything more than grass would stop it. A 42" would be best or a 48" at the max. I have a 42" land pride for sale (see classifieds) ....

A relative of mine has a 20yr old L2250 with 21PTO HP. The BX23 and BX2230 have 16.7, about 20% less. The L2250 runs a 60" bushhog through 4' tall brush without any power issues. Since PTO torque requirements for rotary cutters are proportional to blade length, a 48" cutter is roughly matched to the PTO power on a BX23 or BX2230. I would be more concerned with overhung load (weight) than PTO power. If bogging down becomes a problem, just slow down your forward speed or take a smaller "bite". I agree however, a 42" would perform better. I've even seen cutters down to 36" if you had to go through really thick stuff or needed to pass through tight spaces. ....

I purchased a cat1 King Cutter 5' rear blade for my BX22 last fall and still have yet to use it. I was going put it to use within the next couple of weeks, but looking at a previous post on this thread would indicate that it will be to high to effectively use. It does have the 17" moldboard height. I can still return it to the farm supply store I bought it from as long as it is unused. Will this not work my BX22? I have the standard cat1 King Cutter middlebuster as well, same situation as above. This is going to become a relative hassle if I have to continually find subcompact instead of standard attachments. I would appreciate any additional info on this. Thanks, Eric ....

The XB King Kutter blade should work better, but I have the same regular 5' King Kutter blade as you have on my BX1500 and it works fine. I added a second adjustable lifting rod to the three point and cranked them both almost all the way up. I get about 8" of lift at the blade tip with the moldboard angled vertically while it is set on the ground. ....
